Owned by former teacher Ruth Baldwin, our café grew from her dream of having her own little museum of curiosities, a place where people could sit down, have a great coffee, tasty food, and enjoy being surrounded by interesting and unusual things. It’s not a traditional museum, just a relaxed space that invites you to look around, slow down, and feel at home.
There really isn’t a better place for that experience than by the seaside, and we’re lucky to be located in the seaside village of Kaka Point, the gateway to the Catlins. Whether you’re a local or visiting the area, we invite you to come in, grab a coffee, have a seat, and enjoy the unique mix of curiosities, comfort, and coastal atmosphere.
